In high-heat environments, the “comfort factor” is calculated by measuring a fabric’s water vapor resistance (ability to prevent sweating) and thermal resistance (ability to prevent heat loss). In terms of comfort, PROBAN® flame-resistant clothing outperformed every synthetic FR option available on the market. The results are clear: flame-resistant fabrics made from natural fibers offer better breathability, a softer feel that drapes well, and greater comfort throughout the day.

NFPA 2112-compliant PROBAN® fabrics with weights as low as 200 gsm are available from some licensees, providing the ideal solution for mitigating heat-stress-related issues.
